KFC Bowls (Easy Copycat Dinner)

These cozy “KFC-style” bowls are one of my favorite comfort meals — mashed potatoes, corn, crispy chicken, gravy, and lots of cheddar. Perfect for busy nights and super kid-friendly!

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 cups prepared mashed potatoes (make your own or use instant)
  • 1 bag frozen corn, cooked or steamed
  • 26 ounces frozen popcorn chicken
  • 1 cup prepared chicken gravy (jarred or packet)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Warm the base ingredients. Prepare and heat the mashed potatoes, corn, and gravy according to package instructions.
  2. Cook the chicken. Prepare the popcorn chicken according to package instructions.
    • Tip: I highly recommend cooking it in the air fryer for the best crispy “fried chicken” texture.
  3. Assemble the bowls. Divide everything evenly between 4 bowls. Layer in this order:
    1. mashed potatoes
    2. corn
    3. popcorn chicken
    4. gravy
    5. shredded cheddar cheese
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes & Tips

These make great leftovers — store components separately if you can, then reheat and assemble.

Want extra flavor? Add a sprinkle of pepper, a dash of garlic powder in the potatoes, or a drizzle of your favorite hot sauce.
