There are some things you work on quietly for a while because you’re not quite ready to say them out loud.

And then there are things that suddenly become very, very real.

Like getting an email saying the actual book you created is on its way to your house.

So…I guess it’s time to officially tell you.

I made a coloring book.

Like, an actual coloring book.

It’s called Rooted & Rising: An Adult Coloring Book for Finding Joy in the Messy Middle, and as I’m writing this, my first physical copy is officially in production and scheduled to arrive Saturday.

AHHHH.

Rooted & Rising 🌻

This started as one of those little ideas that I couldn’t quite get out of my head.

And somewhere along the way, that little idea turned into a full book.

Rooted & Rising is an adult coloring book built around exactly that: finding joy in the messy middle.

Not when everything is perfect.

Not when you finally have your whole life figured out.

And sometimes we need permission to sit down, grab some colored pencils, and do something simply because we enjoy it.

I cannot wait to hold the first copy in my hands this weekend. There’s something completely surreal about seeing something that existed only in your head become an actual, physical thing.

And yes, I will absolutely be sharing it when it arrives.

Okay, I can’t tell you about it and not give you at least a tiny peek… 🌻

Simply Samantha Is Growing, Too

The coloring book isn’t the only thing happening behind the scenes lately.

I’ve been slowly bringing all of the different pieces of Simply Samantha together—this blog, recipes, gardening, canning, everyday life, things I love and use, and whatever else I happen to be trying at the moment.

If you’ve noticed me spending a little more time over on TikTok lately, there’s a reason for that too!

I was recently accepted into the TikTok Creator Pilot Program, which means I can now share products through my TikTok Shop showcase and earn a commission when someone purchases through my links.

I currently have 44 commissionable products sitting in my showcase.

Number of sales so far?

Zero. 😂

But you have to start somewhere, right?

Right now I’m genuinely just excited to learn something new, experiment with creating content, and see where it goes.

That one needs a little more time.

But someday soon, I hope I get to tell you about that one, too. 🌻

For now, I’m going to impatiently wait for Saturday and probably check the tracking information approximately 47 times.
